FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need to have a Discord account to participate in TSO projects?

No! Though Discord is a great way to interact with other TSO participants, you can also keep in touch with us through Reddit, Instagram, Twitter, and email.

What kind of recording equipment will I need?

You don't need to use any professional-level equipment - in fact, just a smartphone is good enough! For many TSO projects, you will also need a set of headphones and a second device to listen to a click track while recording.

Do I have to appear in any TSO videos? What about my name?

No! You may choose to have your face censored or can record audio only. You may also choose to be listed as "Anonymous" in the credits.

How selective is the application process? Is there an audition process?

There is no audition process for musicians - every musician who applies will be able to participate. However, this may not be the same for conductors, music arrangers, audio engineers, and video editors (always check the specifics of the project!) - we may ask you to submit a small portfolio of your previous work.

May I apply for multiple roles in one TSO project?

Yes, you can! Just make sure you're able to handle the workloads for every position you apply for.

Are any positions in this project paid?

No. You will receive no financial compensation for your work, nor is there any participation fee. You'll leave the project with the pride of knowing you collaborated with many musicians from all around the world.

How can I be notified of future TSO projects?

We're glad you're interested in joining us in the future! You can fill out this Google Form (linked here) to stay in contact with the TSO staff, and follow us on our social media accounts for announcements.

Stay tuned on all our activities!
