If you are selected to be a section leader, you will work closely with the TSO4MIL managers and your musicians to ensure that everyone stays on track for the duration of this project. You do not necessarily have to be an amazing musician to be an amazing section leader-you will thrive as a section leader if you are an efficient and compassionate leader.

 

There are two kinds of section leaders for TSO4MIL:

• Musical support: You will advise musicians to help them produce the best recordings they can, which may include providing practice guidance, helping them with bowing or breath markings, and reviewing recordings to monitor musicians' progress.

• Management: You will help musicians stay on task, which may include assigning them parts of the arrangement to play, reminding them of deadlines, and keeping rosters updated.
